Konbit Kids is the child sponsorship ministry of
Konbit Haiti.
So what does that look like for a sponsorship? A monthly commitment ensures we are properly investing in children long-term and focusing on lasting changes rather than quick fixes that aren’t beneficial for the child or the community they are a part of.

Providing support for a child ensures a dignified life, without the sponsorship disrupting their social or cultural dynamics.

Our transparency in where funds are being used and implemented will never be a question for you. We will primarily be investing in our after-school programs which include meals, learning new skills, discipleship, mentoring, learning job skills, and much more. While schools have been closed in Haiti temporarily, support will also provide the ability to help kids get to school when they are open. This sponsorship also helps with medical emergencies. You will receive general updates about what we are doing and how your commitment is making a difference.

Your commitment provides the confidence you’re making a difference. You will receive a quarterly newsletter designed for kids to learn about Haiti, communication about what we’re doing, and additional resources within the member portal. You will also be able to submit prayers and words of encouragement through the interactive member portal as well as access several learning resources.

A child qualifies for Konbit kids when they have an area of risk in their life. The vulnerabilities can include anything from malnourishment, lack of education, unsafe living conditions and a number of other circumstances. The needs of the children are assessed and addressed appropriately by local and trained Haitian staff.

We follow a rights-based approach to child sponsorship. While your donation will help a child from the community, we do not feel it is safe or appropriate to have an ongoing relationship between a sponsor and that child. However, you and your family will have the ability to learn about the country through our quarterly newsletters, interactive portal, and ways to ask questions about life in Haiti without putting any children at risk!

While there are no hard or fast rules, our focus is to provide the ability for our communities to create lasting change for their children. we ask our sponsors to make a long-term commitment to sponsorship.

With your sponsorship, you will receive a quarterly printed newsletter designed with kids in mind. Loaded with facts and information about the beautiful country of Haiti and its people. We will cover a wide variety of topics from history, agriculture, animals, food, housing & much more. We hope that we will be able to help you and your family know Haiti on a deeper level and understand the challenges Haitians face. Our newsletters are packed with games, interactive learning, and beautiful pictures.

Transparency is a hallmark of our work at Konbit Haiti. We work incredibly hard to ensure your donations and financial commitments are used to meet the needs of those we serve on the beautiful island of Hispaniola. As a result, we rank highly in independent charity evaluators and markers.
We aim to keep our costs as low as we possibly can in order to send the maximum amount of donations that we can where it’s desperately needed most.
