Our faith in Christ is the foundation of our mission.
It guides us to see God's kingdom extending into all of life, calling us to bring renewal to families, communities, and creation. The command in Deuteronomy 6:5 to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength" calls us to action, inspiring us to transform the world around us. History has shown us the dangers of a faith confined to personal belief, lacking the action needed to address societal issues. The tragedy in Rwanda in 1994, despite widespread Christianity, underscored the urgency of applying a biblical worldview to all areas of life. At Konbit Haiti, we've taken this lesson to heart. We are committed to a discipleship that reaches beyond the church walls, equipping communities to bring God's wisdom to their work, families, and environments. Jeremiah 29:7 urges us to "seek the peace and prosperity of the city." This verse anchors our commitment to community development, guiding us to pursue social, economic, and spiritual renewal as interconnected goals. Our approach is rooted in walking alongside local leaders, helping them uncover sustainable paths to flourish.
We are also compelled by the call in Leviticus 25:23, where God declares, "the land is mine." We recognize our role as stewards, tasked with caring for His creation in a way that honors both the present and the future. This stewardship inspires us to think generationally, seeking solutions that will endure for decades to come. We do not shy away from the brokenness we encounter. Our faith trusts in God's power to bring true and lasting change, even in the most challenging circumstances. We approach every difficulty with the conviction that through Christ, we participate in God's work to restore all things. At Konbit Haiti, we hold a vision of a world where God's peace and justice are not distant ideals, but realities lived out daily. We walk humbly in His ways, believing that as we do, we help build a future of hope, resilience, and renewal for generations to come.
