Videos and Such

Sometimes you need a change of the way you view things. Since we’ve been back, Ryan and I have been working on a ton of stuff, from our staff in Haiti to our future plans. We have also been able to rest and recoop from this crazy season of life!

While going through my iPhoto collection, I ran into a few videos that I thought I’d share. All are from our last 4 month trip training our Core Leadership Team and working on building a long term presence on the island. Some are specifically dealing with water; others are just a funny peek into our lives. Take a look!

This is for quick look at the heaviest lid we ever built in Haiti! Fortunately, the lid made it up and the tank was completed.

Goofin’ around in Hinche. Our staff member, Jacques, was telling the children to surround Ryan!

Zach and some of Justice Water guys collect water to use to make cement for a rain catchment tanks. This is also what was being used for drinking water (yikes!)!

This guy knows what’s up! He was one of our students in the Dominican Republic. In Creole, he is explaining that since Justice Water has taught him about clean drinking water, he now is excited to apply his knowledge! Yipee. (Also, isn’t this a cool language? 🙂 )

Funny Fish in Santo Domingo! Where we built one of our most recent tanks, we were able to see their aquaponics system built by a friend of ours. Their fish love Moringa, which is what we are feeding them in this video.

We’ve already shared this “Drive to Water” video, but its worth a look if you haven’t seen it. It’s from another place in Hinche, Haiti where people get their water.

This video is one of Haitian worship and singing. It’s a video of the floor, because honestly I don’t like it when people take pictures or video of cool moments like this. But…I did video it so maybe I am in the same category, haha. Take a listen if you’re curious. Pretty sounding! 🙂
